In all my years of shooting, I have only shot a handful of actual proposals, so you can imagine my excitement when Geary reached out to let me know he planned on proposing to his girlfriend on the Brooklyn waterfront and was wondering if I’d be able to photograph it!!
This was such a beautifully thought out afternoon full of personal elements incorporated! When Bindi arrived, I instantly got goosebumps all over and felt this incredible rush of gratefulness for this job- what an honor it is to witness + document these significant life events for people… the beauty of it all is not lost on me.
After they were officially engaged, the three of us spent some time laughing our way around Dumbo, freezing our tushies off, and just generally having a fantastic time.
So much thanks to Geary + Bindi for inviting me to document this moment in their lives!! Sending all the love your guys’ way!
** side note- it’s perfectly acceptable to take a shot before your session… Geary brought mini bottles of their favorite liquor for them to cheers with after their engagement and to help keep them warm in the chilly Winter temps!! 😉
