Industry City, BK Wedding - Ashley + James

This day. It was a good one you guys.

Since we moved to Brooklyn a few years ago I have had so much fun exploring this borough 😉 I’m even going to go out on a limb here and say it’s my favorite of NYC (and yes I have lived in Queens + Manhattan!) … So when A + J initially reached out and said they were getting married at Industry City, I was so (really, very) excited for the opportunity to shoot there!

They invited me to their apartment to meet up and look through albums/chat/etc and we hit it off immediately. I was basically 9 months pregnant with Kai and their daughter was 4 months old at the time, so our ‘meeting’ felt a bit more like friends catching up and chatting about life, work, living in Brooklyn, and babies!! These two were down to earth, honest, stylish, and oh so in love and I knew as soon as we hugged goodbye that this was a day I’d like to be a part of <3

Once their wedding rolled around ALL THE STARS ALIGNED. It was one of those gorgeous, crisp October days in the city and I couldn’t get over how beautifully the loft space at The Landing was transformed by Laura Remmert + Mimosa Floral’s teams!! This was a day full of celebration of love and family (because isn’t that what this is all about?!)… there were happy tears, deep belly laughs, kids running around, the most beautiful/artful details, and and intense feeling of JOY…
